Branding does not work the same way. Strong, successful brands create and claim a position in a prospect’s mind by making a competitive, unique promise. ‘Me too’ or ‘more of the same’ will not work in branding. Saying … or even implying … that you are ‘just like the leading brand’ does nothing but encourage people to go with the top brand. The more you try to be like others, the farther you’ll blend into the crowd.
Always choose to be a standout.
Get off the ‘brandwagon’ and give prospects a clear, confident, compelling and yes … unique … reason to CHOOSE your brand. Tell them WHY your brand will fulfill an important need or want that THEY have, and how it will do it better than anyone … anything … or any other place can.
Be a brand leader, not a follower. Always.
