More than 150,000 Veteran-owned businesses are missing in action in Arizona. They’re out there … and they’re doing business … but they’re not doing all of the business that they could be. Why? Because they are not registered with the Arizona Dept. of Veterans Services (ADVS) or any other state’s Veterans’ business registry that would grant them access to more than $8 billion in government set-asides, or $80 billion in private sector contracts.

That’s a lot of money to leave lying on the table.

ADVS will host the First-Ever Arizona Veterans Small Business Conference June 11-12 at Ft. McDowell Resort & Casino in Fountain Hills, AZ. More than 500 Veteran business owners and ‘vetrepreneurs’ from a four-state area (AZ, NM, CA, UT) are expected to attend. Workshops in business development, marketing, procurement and social networking will provide participants with Knowledge and Access — two must-have’s for successful Entrepreneurship. I am honored to be presenting the Marketing track for the conference, including workshops on Online Branding, PR and Pitching Your Business.

The military makes a huge investment to ensure that its armed forces are well-trained and well-prepared for battle. Arizona’s Veterans Small Business Conference is designed to make sure that service Veterans are equally ready to win the battle for business success! … Lori.
